What’s something people are often surprised to learn about you?
That I have appeared on multiple TV gameshows including Eggheads, the Weakest Link, Wheel of Fortune and Tipping Point.
Sunrise or sunset?
Sunset
What book, film, or person has had the greatest impact on your life?
Probably a world atlas! I am a geographer by training and I am fascinated by new places and cultures. I am the person I am today because of a childhood spent in Africa, six months living in Israel before university, and a great many overseas adventures.
How would your closest friends describe you?
As the person who says the thing that everyone else is thinking but is afraid to say!
What inspired you to get involved with hedgehog helpline?
I contacted the Charity when I was concerned about some hedgehogs in my garden. Shortly afterwards I attended a Hedgehog Helpline event, and I offered to get involved in some of the Charity’s behind-the-scenes work. Soon after, they invited me to become Secretary, and I’ve not looked back since!
One quote you live by.
“Spend the time while I am speaking listening to what I am saying, not thinking about what you are going to say next”
Who had the biggest influence on you growing up?
My incredible parents, and they continue to inspire me to this day.
One thing you couldn’t live without.
Cats
